What is Rheumatology
Rheumatology is a sub-specialty in pediatrics and internal medicine, devoted to the therapy, and diagnosis of rheumatic diseases. Clinicians who specialize in rheumatology are known as Rheumatologists. They are also specializing in pediatric rheumatology. They can treat rheumatic diseases of children. Rheumatologists deal with the clinical issues such as soft tissues, joints, autoimmune disease, allied condition, heritable connective tissue disorders and vasculitis.
In general, symptoms of rheumatic diseases may include:
Restricted movement in the affected joints
Fatigue
tenderness or Chronic pain in the joints
Joint pain
Redness and Warmth in the joint area
